What is MUN?

Model United Nations (MUN) is an educational event where students take on the roles of delegates representing different countries in various committees of the United Nations. These conferences provide a platform for participants to engage in discussions on global issues, develop diplomatic skills, and enhance their understanding of international relations.

Delegates research their assigned countries' positions on pressing topics, engage in debates, negotiate resolutions, and work collaboratively to address challenges such as climate change, human rights, and security threats. MUN events foster skills in public speaking, critical thinking, and teamwork. Overall, MUN serves as a unique opportunity for students to gain firsthand experience in diplomacy and governance.

Unique committees

TrojMUN offers 2 committees for experienced delegates. The Historical Security Council is a classic at every MUN - however, at TrojMUN delegates will attempt to answer the reformation in the Council of Trent. The delegates in this committee will represent cardinals and other religious figures, but also kings and dukes, mending the worlds of politics and religion, creating a dynamic landscape where only hardened negotiators will succeed.

The second committee will be the Business Congress, where delegates will attempt to answer the question if electric cars are a way forward in addressing climate change. In this committee, delegates backing fossil fuel companies will clash with delegates backing electric cars. Together, these two groups will attempt to sway the undecided delegates of car companies on their side in order to gain an advantage.
